Siddhartha Bank Limited is an active player in the local and international money market, capital market, foreign exchange market and bullion market. The Bank has has a state-of the-art dealing room equipped with Refinitiv Eikon, FX Trading, Messaging, Trading Platform of International Banks and has access to competitive prices and liquidity at all times. The Bank is a member of Foreign Exchange Dealers Association of Nepal (FEDAN) and works in coordination with Foreign Exchange Department of Nepal Rastra Bank

The Treasury Department of the Bank offers the following services to its valued customers:

• Competitive Exchange Rates Quoting
  The department provides competitive exchange rates in different currencies for cash purchase/sell or for trade/remittance inwards and outwards. The exchange rates are uploaded in the Bank’s website (link) multiple times a day as per currency volatility. Any exchange rate above USD 2,000 equivalent are to be booked via respective Relationship Officer by the customers, for which the Bank shall quote live dealing rates based on market liquidity.
• Hedging Exchange Rate
  The department offers customers a hedge against adverse movement in exchange rate in their underlying foreign currency receivables/payables by offering different structured contracts. The Bank stands ready to hedge the risk of its clients in any currency for the required term at a competitive pricing. For discussing solutions to your hedging requirement, please talk to your relationship manager and we shall develop tailored solutions to match your requirement.
• Sales Agent and Market Maker for Bond
  The Bank is a market maker for primary and secondary market transaction of National Savings Bond, Citizen Saving Bond and secondary market transaction of Foreign Employment Savings Bonds. The Bank is a sales agent for primary issue of Foreign Employment Savings Bond.
  Customers can contact their nearby branches to purchase/sell National Savings Bond, Citizen Saving Bond and Foreign Employment Savings Bonds in the primary and secondary market.
• Bullion Dealing
  The Bullion Desk under the Treasury Department sells gold/silver to registered traders as per the guidelines of Nepal Rastra Bank. Clients can buy these precious metals at competitive prices, with delivery made available instantly.

Correspondent Banking

In order to receive money from overseas, you may be asked to provide details of which banks Siddhartha Bank maintains accounts with. The nostro relationship in major currencies help us in quick and efficient settlements in inwards and outwards. Further, the Bank can also make customer payments in more than 70 currencies as per the requirement of client through its correspondent banking relationship.
